No Rainbow in Paris

The sky is blue; but through my lens, there is only a world of black and white, of dark and light.

Paris was a dream for me. After I stepped out from the four-hour bus, I kept telling myself that it was not a dream. I AM IN PARIS!!!!

I travelled with three other friends. They make the life ouside my lens more colorful. They are the tour guides of this trip...we have been to alot of places, tourist hotspots, university area, red-light zone, famous chocolate shop...you name it, they know it.

Tour Eiffel gave me the deepest impression. Its beauty was undescrible, you could never imagine a building being so lively...especially at night when the lights illuminated the building. Two beans of lights shone out at the tip of the tower. I thought, it is the lighthouse of Paris.

Notre Dame was one grand cathedral. It was the background setting of "THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME," a masterpiece of Victor Hugo. The monsters at the top of the cathedral looked out into the city, carrying a look of loneliness. They must be thinking how boring the city was.

Musée du Louvre is a huge museum. I took 7 hours in the Museum. Saw the famous pieces and the most impreesive one must be the sculpture of Godness of Victory. Her wings stretched out far to the back, it was not well-shown in my photo. But it gave me the feeling of invincibility, of going through alot of battles. Regardless of victories or losses, she stood still and stable.

The trips lasted for three-and-a-half day, and it ended in a dramatic way. Eventually, we missed the train back home by few minutes that we have to stay in Brussels for one nite before we can travel back to school the next morning. But in exchange of despair, we came in touch with our new friend, who kindly offered a place for us to stay.

The life of B&W did not last for long. As I reached home, the sky is blue. Life is colorful, yet again.
